Hey Everyone:

I got this manual on ebay and it arrived this week. I'm not certain if its for the Electrolux model 30 or the model 40 from Australia (maybe someone can answer that?) but its pretty much the same machine as my Swedish model 30. Thought you might like to see it.

Doug

Thankyou Doug!

The tailored language from down under is fascinating, where wands are Guide Rods. And it's not called 'the' Electrolux, just Electrolux, nor the Mechanical Maid but The Maid of All Work.

What a great manual, and that mop attachment is interesting. Was that available in other countries?

I just love the single beds ...

How naive we all were back then ... the idea of a husband and wife actually sleeping on the same matress just couldn't be acknowleded. It took until the mid 60'd before we'd start to see that on TV shows or in advertising.

Or perhaps the happy housewife just never cleaned the master bedroom ...

Thanks for posting this, it was really interesting and fun. I too loved the mop idea.
