I also have an electrolux. I was noticing a huge thread a while ago about them. It is a nice vacuum but I have no PN. It was free to me.

Again I will get some pictures tonight.

Ah, a lovely Super J. Did you just get the canister, or did the hose/attachments come with it as well?

Super J ???

That isn't a super J... It is a 50th aniversary model it came out right after the 1205.. The Super J came out after the 50th anniversary Model.. I believe that is right.

Opps!

I just saw a picture and all I knew was the Super j for golden ones. It was free to me, I am waiting for it in the mail. It has electric hose wands and attachments but no PN.

Red-faced

I just took a closer look at the pic and realized it was a Golden Jubilee too. Anyway, Ryan, it's still a lovely vacuum.

lol

sorry for the long delay. The lady it was coming from had fallen very ill and has just recently gotten it all packed and shipped. Any day now it will be here. Maybe even tomorrow.

Yes it is a Golden J and not a Super J, my mistake.

Keep an eye out from my posts, I may be getting a Decade 80 and a matching style convertible from the lady soon!

silverado

I would be interested in the rear wheel assembly from the trashed silverado vacuum. I have an Olympic,a dn its rear wheel assembly was broken, I need to drillout the rivets and replace.

Please let me know if you are parting the trashed silverado.

thanks dave

Super J vs. Golden J

Forgive my ignorance, I really don't know as I have never taken either one apart. Is there ANY difference between the Super J and Golden J other than the sticker on the top of the machine? If that's the only distinguishing characteristic, it's real easy to mistake the two, especially if the label has been peeled off or worn off over time. Thanks.

Karl

The SuperJ has a bigger motor and is slightly longer. Other than that, I think they look the same except for the sticker behind the blower port. I know that my SuperJ says it on the sticker where the Golden J says the 50th anniversary.

I heard that the Golden J is rarer and looked for more often than the super J.

Just what I heard. Anyone agree or disagree? Is it still a good machine?

and what PNs can I use on this?

The Golden J was produced for a shorter period of time than the Super J so it would make sense that fewer were produced and fewer have survived to day. The Golden J was really nothing more than a 1205 painted gold and stuffed into a newer style housing.

The proper PN for a Golden J is a PN2 with a bottom plastic pan in a matching tan color to the plastic control housing.

Cool

Thanks Tristar. I will have to keep my eye out for one.
