would be my Hoover 29 and my Lux XXX. Both were complete except for optional equipment and owner's manuals, in great condition (other than needing a little polishing), and priced right. I also bought a model 40 Lewyt and an Electrolux G off ebay, and while they were also priced right, the Lewyt was missing wands (but did have a complete attachment set otherwise) and the Lux G had a leaky hose (although original), the wrong rug/floor nozzle (white), and was missing the upholstery/dusting brush and the crevice tool. Otherwise these 2 were also great vacuums, the G probably being the most powerful and yet quietest tank I've got.

I'd have to say that eBay is a major source for 95% of my machines as well, like Skip said! Especially considering that out here in the Land of Rust, vintage machines in decent shape worth getting are few and far between, from my experiences.
