I have a Hoover Dimension 1000 in wonderful shape but the Quadraflex Powernozzle has a crack in the base. Does anyone have or know where to find the part?? Please help.

Check your local vacuum stores. They were available a few years ago, you have to replace the whole base of the powerhead...

But I know they are no longer available from Hoover.

I've been looking for a quadraflex power nozzle for my hoover celebrity for two years now. I posted here about it and was told to check ebay, which I've also done for two years with no luck. I called two vacuum stores, and neither of the returned my call. I'm about to throw the machine in the garbage. Just wanted to say "my condolences" and "good luck"!

By the way... that was the same thing that happened to my quadraflex power nozzle... a crack in the base.

Just because the base on the powernozzle is cracked, doesn't mean the machine is junk...

That was a common problem with those powerheads. Any quadraflex powernozzle will make a suitable replacement.. all you'll have to do is change the hood and change the powerhead neck.

They're out there.. don't loose hope because of unreturned phone calls. I also swear that I've seen them on eBay... I never pay them much attention because I don't need them. But if I see them from now on, I'll try to remember to either email you or post the auction.

Yes they are on Ebay

I need to go look but have seen the power nozzles from new2youvacuums or some name very similar to that.

Quadraflex base

I was looking through the on-line catalog from Tip Top Parts in Canada and they have the base listed as still in stock. Tip Top part # HV2424. If you have any dealer friends who buy from TT, have them give them a holler!
Hope this helps! Greg Bushman/LuxFlairguy-Seattle
