Very nice. I got the same machine two weekends ago, but mine had the shake out bag. I'm surprised to see they did away with the F and G bags... but still has two letters! This one will be much easier to change! Congrats on a new toy, enjoy playing with it.

Like it.. I'm wondering if that was the model they were selling at Sams here a few months back. Will never know now because the Sams Clubs here all closed down.

Great find Andrew!

I love the ST bags. My gripe with Sanitaires has always been that the bags were just so filthy, and these eliminate that!

The F&G machines are still available, but these new machines are part of an upgraded line.

Electrolux.......

Hey Andrew

Nice! Im thinking its Sanitaire month both sides ofthe pond lol :).

I see its "Dual Branded" in the same way Jacks ZC880 is.

Im guessing thats a new thing over there?

The paper bag setup looks to be a big improvement over the FG one!

Seamus

P.s I have one the same as Jacks and was given a tip to use a slightly used Convertible/Senior belt on it as they are less prone to stretch. Its been on over a year and has been great so far :).

Convertible Belt...

Holy cow! Can you play music on that belt? The Convertible/Senior belts are WAY too small to get on those machines, even when used. I'd be very concerned about burning the bearings out in the motor or brushroll with that setup.

If you use the genuine Sanitaire/Eureka belts, they last a very long time. The generics will stretch out in absolutely no time flat. I've used both, the Generics may last 1-2 vacuuming sessions, but the genuine belts will last for months!

Belts...

Hey Eric

A slightly used belt isnt actually over tight- however this may have something to do with the fact our Genuine Hoover Senior belts are nuch stretchier than the US ones(When ive changed the belts on my 1010 and 707 Ive really noticed the difference!).

Electrolux over here no longer supply the belts for these so our only option is to improvise or go with Generic. I am also going to try the belt for the 61/91 series Hoover as those are still about over here. I would get a few Genuine ones from the US but im always very careful with the shipping quotes on belts as I have been given quotes of up to $25!!!! to ship 3 packs of 2 belts- It should be under $5 lol.

Same goes for the agitator brushes but those will have to come from over there as there are no Generic alternatives that im aware of.

Cheers

Seamus

I forgot about the belt difference. I suspect the UK belts may be similar to the US commercial-style belts.

I once (unintentionally) placed a used Hoover Convertible belt on my Eureka. It WAS stretched and it wasnt too tight.

Interesting.....

You'd think if they sold the vacuum that they'd sell the belts right?! Leave it to EurekaLux to do something that foolish...

The reason I ask about the Convertible belts is because the genuine ones are pretty stiff and not very stretchy that I've used. They work GREAT on the Convertible, but you even have to struggle to get them on there! I was thinking you'd have to be a champion wrestler to have enough strength to get one on a Sanitaire if you didn't break the belt first! Since they're stretchy, I can certainly see how you can get it on there now. Thanks for the clarification!

Vibra Groomer II

My Vibra Groomer II arrived today for my Sanitaire. It makes a world of difference!

I've used several Sanitaires with the Vibra Groomer (I & II) & they're the REAL champs of all vacs I've ever used. Some had the dust cup on bottom of bag & the last Sanitaire I used has F & G style bag & VGI brush roll.

Vacfanatic, Did yours have VGI or a wood roller before puting VGII roller? Is there any Sanitaires with ST bags that have Quick Kleen feature? I like the QK b/c its easier to clean out fan vs. sticking wire 2 kleen out the fan on your style Sanitaire or Hoover Convertible.

VibraGroomer 3

Why dont Sanitaire put Vibra Groomer III on these machines? It'd be lot better on pet hair removal from carpets (like Hoover Quadraflex) & double brushing/beating action

VGIII

The VGIII brushroll is actually for the Eureka PN's of the 90s. The VGII actually works better for carpeting since it helps to beat the dirt out of the pile. I have an aftermarket "4-brush VGII" which is actually a generic, and it just doesn't get as much dirt as the original VGII does. It brushes faster, and it's quicker on pet hair, but if you're going slowly enough with the vacuum anyway, the 2 brushes spin plenty fast to get the job done quite handily.

VGII

I love the way the Vibra Groomer 2 beats the carpet & it REALLY vibrates the surface unlike wooden or plastic brush rolls of today.

Tristar, can I see pic of aftermarket VGII & was it for uprights or power nozzles?

Look up item E-201 at Hesco. Their website is such that pasted links don't work properly.

I have one of these on my mom's Sanitaire because of the shedding problem their dogs have. Seems to work very well for picking up hair.

It's for uprights. They have all-brush brushrolls for the power nozzles, but they're wooden. I had one for the Fairfax and I wasn't all that pleased with it. It groomed well, but didn't clean as good as the VibraGroomer II did.
