Somebody gave me this orange floating Celebrity today and it needs a little work. First the handle needs reattaching, no problem, but whatever piece fits inside to attach the bag to is missing.. anyone got a picture of what I'm looking for.. Also on the outside lid is a screw sticking thru near the edge that held something. Again another pic would help Thanks

Looks nice, Pete! I'll try to get pics of mine later, if nobody else posts them.

And I was at St.Vincents today, another red Celebrity like Wok!!!! Far too many of those...

Just came in from the car and found the little part that holds the bag on the rear seat, must have falled out when I picked it up..

Petek

You also seem to missing a filter cage that is shown in Nicholas's photo. I presume that the filter cage is a bayonet-style of fitment (push & slight twist?).

Hmmmm I'm not sure? I noticed the difference but thought maybe since this is a floating model and the other is a wheeled variety could be different?

Those Big Dust Bags

Yes ... there were Air-Ride versions of the Celebrity.

These and all Celebs had large-capacity dust bags (for which you must wrap around inside the vac, like a donut), which are no longer available from Hoover. They'll be tough finds as genuine parts these days.

Pete's filter cage is correct for his machine. My floater is the same way.
