What is this model of eureka?

It is "mine" But I can not bring it home. it is in my grandfathers garage.

Please excuse the huge mess- my grandfather collects many things- and this beauty was behind tall boxes and gas cans. Its dirty, but in excellent shape and working order.

A clear picture would help. Looks to be a 1400 series of some sort.

sorry

My phones camera takes obnoxiously large pictures and it was hard to get a clear picture.

I used some photo shop to brighten this one up. Let me get the original to see if it is clearer.

I will be there tomorrow so I will see if I can get more pictures and unbury the beast.

this is why it was hard to get a good picture, you can hardly see it.

Brandon, that small version you posted works just fine - you can see what's going on, and it's the right way round!

Nice Eureka.

I found one just like yours last Summer in the "trash" (it's sometime in the Summer where people throw their junk in front of their house to get collected, forgot what it's called), it was stored in the weather and it was all moldy and gross. I stuck a big old "FREE" sign on it the next day and sent it out to the curb. ;)

now

when I can take it home- this is going to get a makeover, and its going to be perfect. It does not need anything mechanically, just some deep cleaning and maybe some paint to clear up some scratches.

This is the grandpa with 3-4 compacts and pns, 2 concept one 2 (with handle controls.

And a Hoover convertible- with the rare- switch in the base of the handle- model. XD whatever it is.

do these

have that legendary (?) eureka metal based sound--- ya know how the metal convertibles have that "sound"?

No. It's a blender motor machine. It'll sound something like the machine shown below.

Not the same sound but

It's still not an awful sound but it's not quite the same as the original
