I'm linking to the CL add I found this vacuum in. The seller wants 100 dollars which I think is crazy. The bottom looks like a Bravo, but it's got a back mounted bag and plastic handle!!! I'm assuming mid 90s it was made, but I've never seen such a beast! Anyone have any info?

Sanitaire

Tis one of the sanitaire "home" models. Blue- and it appears to be a low end model. Not much to it.

$100 is $60 too expensive I think. That is also an old model of it.

No, it's not a Sanitaire, and definitely not low end, but it is an F&G style upright like the Sanitaire.

I THINK this came out in the early 90's. It is a self-propelled Eureka, and the handle is in fact metal. So is the bottom plate and brushroll. VGII if I recall correctly. It's actually a very good upright. I love the self-propelled Eurekas as I think they are much smoother than the Hoovers.

$100 is a bit much, but I would consider grabbing this. I don't see many of them too often, and as any Eureka/Sanitaire of similar style, it will clean the hell out of the carpet.

oh

I have seen a sanitaire that looked identical to what I can see in this picture. but its dark, so who knows. I guess your right because of the bag design and bumper is not sanitaire.

Actually, it looks like a cross between a bravo and a koblenz. I thought the handle looked self-propelled... almost said that in my original post (my ESP handle is just like that but blue), but didn't want to speculate about a machine that I don't know anything about!

I think I'll pass up on this one, though I do like self-propelled machines. That is just too much money for a machine that is that old enough to be old but not enough to be vintage.

I of course meant to say, "It's got a back mounted bag and METAL handle (not plastic)" in my original post... was at work and distracted!
