Hi, Here is my latest addition to my kirby collection.

The 3rd Kirby Heritage off the production line!!!

I got this off my Friend Nick Steeples who is the longest running Kirby distributor in the UK. Been in Kirby since the 70s.
He won this from kirby.

Never been used!! Just on display in his office.

Hope you like the pics.
Let me know what you think.

James

Serial # Please

Jim,

Could you please read the serial # that appears on the fan case plaque seen - to your left - before the headlight? I hint at: 1810901003.

Thank you,

Ben (KirbyClassicIII)

Hi Ben, The serial number is 1810800003 So it looks like it was actully made in August not in September or maybe the parts were made in August but it was not assembled till September.

Hope this helps.

If I give you some of my older serial numbers will you be ble to date them as well?

James

Parts were made in August but the vacuum was assembled in September. This kind of confusion also arises with Briggs & Stratton small gasoline engines (they may have earlier date codes - format of YYMMDDPP (year, month, day, plant) - but are not assembled 'til a few weeks later).

And yes, please do give me the serial #s from your older stuff, too.

Thank you again,

Ben (KirbyClassicIII)

Bloody hell James!

Congratulations!!!

Although i have yet to learn to fully appreciate Kirby cleaners (will happen very soon!), i am very, very impressed.

Third off the production run and in mint condition.
I know someone who will be chomping at the bit to come over and see it!

Brilliant stuff.

Cheers
paul
