Last Sunday I won a model 260 Royalaire Tank on ebay, and it arrived this past Wednesday. Haven't taken my own pics yet, so am posting the ebay pics. Although it looks blue here, it is actually green. It has amazing suction and just as much at the end of the original saran hose as at the end of the machine! The inside of it was amazingly clean and the bag was almost like new. After I give it a dose of polish I'll take my own pictures of it.

The Attachments

hygiene903's profile picture
Here are the attachments that came with it. Although the wands and rug nozzle will need polishing, everything else is in great condition, and the dusting brush appears to have never been used. The crevice tool was missing but it turns out I have one on hand, along with a sprayer and demother for this very machine, so other than the tool caddy and instruction book, it is now a complete set! Again, this is the ebay pic, and will take my own soon!

Nice machine there Jeff.....

Tell me, is that red "button" the on-off switch, or is it a light of some kind too? I love the layered chrome pieces leading to, and trailing the handle! I hate it that the Crevicetools are always missing... sneaky little devils.

Jeff, that is going to be a really pretty machine when you get it all polished up. Rick I think the crevice tool is often missing because it is one tool that people seemed to use. At least that is what I think since if they are with older machines they often look well used.

Very Nice

Our library had one the same color I always wanted to use it lol. For some reason whenever a seen it in use the custodian was always using the wand end with the curve facing the floor and carrying the floor nozzle. Figure that one lol.

Could It Be?

That Crevicetool has all the crevice tools?? (Ducks to avoid crevice tools being hurled at me through the air!) Actually, especially with Royals and Electro-Hygienes, seems like floor brushes and wands are frequently missing also. I have a red set missing the crevice tool, wands, and floor brush and a gray set missing the wands, a blue set missing the crevice tool and floor brush, and my friend Jim has a couple sets missing the same pieces. But I'm thrilled that this time I just happened to have the crevice tool, demother, and sprayer to make this set complete. And yes Rick, the red button is the on/off switch.
I've already started polishing this past weekend. So far have the machine done and the rug nozzle. Got the wands yet to go and maybe a little cleanup of the rest of the tools (they actually don't need much) and it's done.
Cheers!
Jeff
