Help My handle split =( |

I recived my longed for Hoover convertible model 68 in my favorite color,Blue =), however the handle had a tiny split just near the bag support hook and when i put it together it split alomost all the way around:(. I think i may have to solder it? Epoxy?any suggestions on how i can fix. I coult hunt for a tophalf handle but Id have to find a matching paint as this handle is paited to match the color of the hood and bag.You can kinda see in the pic where the crack started.

well... jb weld or a tig weld. a solder joint wouldnt hold | ||
