Hi everyone,

I just bought a maroon Hoover medallion off of eBay from Marty K., thinking it would fit my Model 65 (whose medallion is VERY scratched up as well as dented). I didn't mind switching the color if it fit, however, this one happens to be much too big.

Is there anyone out there who has a smaller red 3-prong medallion for the Convertibles, in good, non-scratched condition? If you do (and happen to need a maroon medallion for a pre-Convertible machine at the same time), I'll gladly trade you! Let me know on here or via email (address is in the profile, and my contact info should be on the updated Club roster that comes with the Newsletter this month).

Thanks,
Austin

DETAILS!

Dear Austin,

Those medallions came in several sizes and shades over the years. That's why I put the exact diameter and color in the title of the auction. Unfortunately, I'm Convertible-free at the moment so I cannot check for myself, but I would be curious to know what is the exact diameter of the medallion on your model 65.

I wish I had another medallion on hand to exchange for your maroon one. Alas, I do not. However, I would be more than happy to agree to refund your purchase price upon return of the medallion, if that is your wish. Please just let me know. . . I want all of my eBay buyers to be HAPPY CUSTOMERS!

Thanks,

Marty K.

Austin, youd be a FOOL to return the medallion. just imagine it affixed to the front of a plain black baseball cap! my model 31's medallion is red paint on an aluminum disk. i have another medallion, from a model 67 i think, and its plastic, painted underneath, with a brass-colored metal trim around the circumference. and if you find you just need to get rid of the unwanted medallion, just send it to me!

Hi Marty & David, I plan on keeping this medallion in my parts stash; even though it doesn't fit my 65 it is still a very nice piece that I did want! The only reason I would think about giving it up would be if someone had a nice Convertible medallion they could trade...until that happens, it will remain safely stored away, waiting for an older machine to come along!
