Hello,
I had a lady ask me if I knew anything about the vacuum called Standard. She said she bought it from an estate sale the other day and it is all complete with all attachments, paperwork, and the trunk it came in. She said it looks like it's from the 40's and all is in great shape.
Her and I both would like to know some info on this vacuum please. I have not yet seen it, she is supposed to bring it to me. I don't know if she is planning on selling it or keeping it. If she sells it are any of you interested? I will get pictures of coarse. I myself don't want it, I like canisters with power nozzles. Maybe it has one? if so well then you can't have it hahaha. lol I would like to see pics of what these things look like if you have some.

Hey Kirbyveribles! I for one would love to see pics of the vac and be interested in purchasing it if she plans to sell it for a decent price. Keep us posted. Trg (ge1969)

We had something called an Elgin Standard, my parents bought it in the early '50s and Mom gave it to my cousin in 1960 or so when we got the GE Swivel Top with the floor washer.
