Today I had to go out of town for a business meeting, while there i went by the rainbow vacuum shop, talked with the owner, a very elderly man, been selling rainbows for over 50 years. I went by to get a belt and ended up bringing home another toy! and best of all, he gave it to me! ive been wanting one for sometime, it runs but needs a bearing job ASAP, i only plugged it in and fliped the switch on and off, it made a horrible noise, so im going to start taking it apart and get-r-dun! Does anyone know were i can get the bearings for this machine? i did get to see the new rainbow, WOW!! i have to have one, i have been thinking about selling rainbow's, i have had a couple of people to ask me about new machine's... we shall see. anywho, just wanted to share my latest! Great gift! I sold a few of those new back in the late 60's. Can not remember what the contract asking price was. Actually my dad bought one. Then a cousin bought one and my Aunt gave them a $100.00 as the down payment. Seems like it was about $350.00, then less trade in and deposit. AS Kirby Classic was selling for the same price !!! Hey Norm, I cant sell it, i have the complete machine, its of course waiting for resoration like everything in this closet, the electrolux runs and was the first vacuum i owned, had it since i was 16-17. We actually used it untill i got my rainbow. Ill keep my eyes open for a brown PN!
I have the same brown PN and I don't want it because I only use the floor brush and dusting tools on the Electrolux. Let me know if you want it and I will bring it along with your DAM bags next time we meet.
