I was talking to my Best friend Tom Gasko on the phone last weekend and he told me that I need to get a Miele, because I have the Art(horible) and a acrylic which a different piece falls off each time you use it. We were talking and I asked him what machine would best suit our own home. We have 2 long haired dogs and a short haired cat and our home is 95% hardwood and 5% carpeting. We kept talking and he told me about the Pisces the MOL straight suction S5. Then we created a business deal. I sent the machine on Monday and he sent it Tuesday it didnt arrive till Wendsday but he said he trusted me and he had the tracking number.

Well my newest baby arrived today. I love it. It has to be my new favorite bag vacuum. I Love the bag system. Its a 9 layer HyClean bag. It seals as soon as you lift the lid. I can jump on it and NO dust comes out. I LOVE it. It has the Parquet Twister and the wonderfull Turbo brush. It spins so fast. I love the quiet setting and I can talk on the phone while Im running it. I can go right below the sofa with the twister and it vacuums so well. It is fitted with a Active H.E.P.A filter and there is NO smell that comes out of the exhaust It smells like it just rained outside. I LOVE IT. Thanks so Much Tom!!!!! Here are the pictures.

I just saw one of these last week when I was having my little Riccar serviced after it ate charm and spit out it's fan.
Quiet, all you could hear was the air rushing in.
I will say that I looked at the Riccar Sunburst, and can make the same comment, very quiet.

Didn't get to use either one, but very nice machines.

...so large at 2848 x 2136 pixels that old me simply couldn't comprehend them until I downloaded and re-sized. Just because today's cameras can shoot pictures at this resolution doesn't mean they need be posted at this size. Please consider re-setting your Fuji Finepix Z5FD default resolution downward and save yourself the chore of re-sizing later in a photo editor. So, fearing that others may have the same frustration as I, I am taking the well intentioned liberty of re-posting.

Sorry, i just had to chuckle, Evan, awesome vacuum

Dave, you are the one i laugh with, not at, i know you probably just made a name mistake, yet Evan said "best friend Tom Gasko", Tom personally hates me, i don't know why, just does. LOL sorry, good laugh of the day! :)

and thanks for your senses of humour, guys.

There is no thrill as personal as de-canting a brand new in the box machine - I had the same thrill opening the SS New Connie. I was hoping it would be triple boxed & excessively giftwrapped to prolong the joy.

They'd be way easier to see if you took a minute to resize them.

And yup you are seeing that wattage right!

2200w!!

Thats the difference 240V makes!- in my opinion thats way OTT tho- my Revolution 500 is 1600w and thats more than ample IMHO!

aeoliandave, i love you.

Lovely Miele. How are the dusting tools in use? Think ive read that some users arent crazy about them?

Swingette

The Dusting tools are greart to use. I don't know why anybody wouldnt like them. There all tucked under the hood the dusting brush is made of natural bristles. The upolstery tool is excellent. On 1200 watts the pet hair in your car or on you sofa doesnt have a chance!!!!!!!!!!!

Great Miele, Evan, you must be pleased with it! I agree about the dusting tools; I've heard people complain about them, but I have no problem with them at all.

You inspired me to dig out my Miele Revolution 500 for a bit of use today, even though I am considering selling it in the near future. It's such a nice machine to use; so quiet and powerful! I'd love to try out the large powernozzle sometime. Actually, since I prefer uprights, what I'd REALLY love is an S7, lol
