Can someone identify what this model Electrolux is? It looks an AE but has the power nozzle outlet like an AF?

Thanks!

Bill

This is an AE that has been modified for a power nozzle.

I remember as a grade schooler in the late 50's and then
Jr. high in the early 60's. The electrolux man/salesperson,
would come to the neighborhood, knocking on the doors with
a Lux power nozzle in hand. If you had a recent model they
would quote you on the price for a new hose, power nozzle
and installing the electric connection. Can't for the life
of me tell you what the conversion cost was.

AE Conversion

I remember Mr Electrolux (actually, Warner) selling my Mom the Power Nozzle to add to our AE AND I remember watching him do the conversion. I cannot say for certain, but believe that the conversion was simply associated with the cost of the Power Nozzle (included) as it would be worthless without it (tits on a boar!) These earliest Power Nozzles had one long(er) cord that reached to the machine before they figured out it was useful to be able to DISCONNECT the silly thing when you wanted to use the wands or small tools. No new hose was purchased, but I don't think it was too long before they came back with a cord that could be disconnected at the hose handle. The conversion actually was quite simple, quite quick, and rather professional. I was impressed!
