The house had gotten out of control, so I had to pull out the big guns... Thanks to a very dear friend, I now have in my collection a new Everlast Series Royal Upright. Personally I really like the machine other than the noise level. But I have to remember I have mostly hardwood and the house is small. Now if I lived in Trantuala Arms it would not be nearly as noticable. This machine is still very well built (like a sherman tank), the air flow is great with the tools. The tools are awesome and very durable. Enjoy the pictures, just don't look at the dirt in the house. Morgan |

Actually, Thanks to two very dear friends, this vacuum is complete. Mike Buffington gave me the machine and Mike Rogers found the attatchment set for me. Royal has always made some of the best tools. The floor/wall brush is a perfect bare floor tool. Royal, Kirby and Eureka would be my first choice in uprights....followed by Eureka, Electrolux as canisters. Morgan |

Well it sure looks nice but if you say it's as loud as all that I think that would aggravate me too. |

Gary, It is a Johannus. The Wesley model. I believe it is the digital equivalent of a 32 Rank pipe. There is a local Johannus dealer that installed a newer larger instrument in a church...he sold this to me at a very reasonable price...I couldn't let it go by. He also had a three manual Johannus that was not digital, but I chose this one. Here is a picture of it the day we moved to Dubuque IA. It is funny, my good friend Louis Rescigno has the very same organ only to steps down in model from this one. I couldn't believe it when I first went to his home and saw is sitting there. Morgan |

A youtube video would be great Morgan!! Love the Royal and those beautiful attachments. Makes me wonder why Kirby never made a more deluxe set for their machines. |

Before I discovered self-playing pianos and organs in the early 80s I accumulated Reed Organs. When I moved to the house I had 9, from a sweet little one manual Bell with effusive gold Eastlake decoration & pin striping - which I still have...to a 2 manual and pedal Monster with pipe top Gallery. I kept this 2 manual/ped 1953 Hallman C-100 and its two triangular corner speakers, one of which is still mounted up over the front door vestibule transom firing down the hallway. When the Grand Piano became a reality I dismantled the Hallman into its component parts and stored it in the basement. The Hallman is a self contained amplified reed church organ with 5 banks of blown reeds. I had this crazy idea that I would add a piano roll transport to it and make it a player but thankfully I found out about Aeolian Player pipe organs before doing irreparable damage to the Hallman guts. Actually quite magnificent sounding and some day I should put it back together...I had a Casio Synthesizer jacked into it. Lovely. |

This is the other Reed organ I kept. A made in Woodstock Karn with 9 full sets of reeds half of which have resonator boxes or harmonic qualifier pipes. It can be foot pumped for subdued playing but for full organ there is a handle on the back for the 'Bellows Boy'. It features a Nag's Head swell in the top lid to let all the sound out. It was found in a tiny country church slated for demolition so I rescued it. Solid quartercut oak, this is the one that has a lime green 'Sears Best' Kenmore 2 speed Magicord doing pump duty in the basement.

Yes Gary, you have that magnificent and amazing looking Lowrey MX something. Gawd I luv it. I saw another one in London at the Sally Ann that I wanted sooooo bad but they were asking $800 and the bench was missing. :-( Now that Pete has his Wurlitzer I have to keep reminding and prodding him that yours is his for the hauling...and if he doesn't perhaps I'll HAVE to. :-) This is my early transistorized italian Mark-O-Sonic (that Pete loathes) that I do play frequently. It has a fantastic Rhythm Panel with 3 arpeggiators that can be added and layered to automatic recorded loop progressive one key chord action. It will play itself endlessly as you hit chord keys, touch record and let 'er go nuts. What a beast! Has a built in rotating chorus/two vibrato speed Lesley type drum speaker. |

Sorry guys, I don't have anyway to make a you tube. I would love to hear the Rogers being played. If I ever get the chance, I would replace the Johaunus with an Allen. For me, and this is just my opinion, Allen has the market cornered on digital pipe organs. The sounds are so clear and life like. Someday...I never thought I would own what I have currently. Walter, The Royal Everlast is every bit as immpressive with both the fan and motor. The fan is still all metal and nearly impossible to break due to their design. Some will lead you to beleive the motors on the newer Royals are not good and are disposable and not repairable. I think if you talk with a good Royal Dealership you will find that not to be true. Mike Rogers, one of our early club members is an expert on Royals and has worked for the company for many years. I beleive bearings and motor work can still be performed on the newer models. My only complaint with the machine is the noise leve. However, every machine has it's faults. My new Miele is an awesome machine, but the hose is way to short. My new Oreck XL21 does a great job of cleaning, but because of the plastic content, I have to wonder how the normal consumer would get past the first year without breaking some part of the machine. Again, I love them all.....that's why I am a VACUUM COLLECTOR! Dan, I was amazed at how many of us here play the organ or piano as well. I spend many hours at the keyboard...it is so relaxing. When I am down, I just start flipping through the hymnal and find so much comfort. Morgan |
