Picked up this scrached but working Samsung canister vac today at the Recycle store. Could'nt resist for $15.00!

Works as well as my Miele, I'm sure it does'nt filter as well. The powerhead is made by Lindhaus.

Anothet Samsung

Last week I drove up to the rural Orangeville area to pick up a nice Eumig 607DX Dual 8 projector. I needed a good one because my old Kodak had shattered it's cheesy plastic gears - an Austrian made Eumig has all metal gears and uses ladder chain drive belts. As soon as I entered the farmhouse I spied her vacuum - a yellow Samsung just like yours and Pete's.
I remarked to her what an excellent quiet powerful vacuum it is and she said right away...it's not for sale. LOL

But she does see the occasional vintage vacuum come up at auctions and yard sales as the farms close up and will keep her eyes open.

A hearty bachelorette lady in retirement years, she returned from a career in Toronto to care for her 90 year old mother and concentrate on her photography hobby and she's also the Computer Geek in the area. Her Father being a real home movie buff, she bought the Eumig for herself in 1974 with all the extra accessories. I got the screen and a pile of movies including Castle Films World Travelogues and some color cartoons from Terrytoons, along with anonymous home movies where everyone smokes and gives ciggies to children at Christmas...just for fun. There is also a brief section of a little girl unwrapping and playing with a toy upright vacuum cleaner that I will transfer and post to YouTube later. Well, it was the 70s...

Folks with film cameras were always shooting the same stuff of everyday life while chain smoking - at the beach, at the cottage, at the barbecue picnic, birthdays and Christmas. But my favorite is the NEW CAR footage - something else I will have to capture and edit together.

Lindhaus Powerhead

Guy,

Getting a unit with a Lindhaus Powerhead alone would be worth it. That's one of the better powerheads on the market in my humble opinion.
