I've wanted a Miele canister since I've known what they were. Knowing that they were powerful, quiet, and quality made me desire one. Whenever I see them, they are out of my price range. Well, today I was at a flea market with a friend, and guess what I stumbled upon? Just guess! A Miele canister with a power nozzle for the grand total of 15 dollars! I plugged it in and it ran. I whipped my wallet out so fast I thought it was going to fly across the aisle. This one seems to be in decent shape, despite a few scuff marks and a slight doggy smell (not overwhelming like my Dyson was)... but for that price I'm not complaining. It isn't electronic, the switch isn't on the handle, and it isn't direct connect (that has already become a little annoying, and I've only used it once), but I love it!

I do have some questions though... especially since I'm new to Miele. What kind of bags does it take? It said F and J on the bag that is currently in it. Also, what is the name of this model? What fliter does it take? Does it have a cogged belt, or a flat rubber one that I should replace? Did this originally come with a dusting brush and a bare floor tool? The only tools it has right now are the upholstery nozzle and the crevice tool. How old is this model, and what did it cost new?

Thanks guys.... I'm VERY excited :o) My cell phone camera doesn't do this baby justice... but I'm gonna do a quick clean up right now. I LOVE the 360 degree swivel wheels on the bottom... and the power nozzle parking system. Oh yeah... also... what is that symbol on the power dial for?

Thanks :o)

Congrats!

I love my Miele!

The link below is to that model; you'll see what the plastic clippy thing is for. That's still a current model. :-)

I don't think it came with a dusting brush, it should have come with a bare floor tool, it takes a type FJM bag, cogged belt in the powernozzle.

:-)
