I dont think i have ever seen a metal Royal with a beater bar agitator. Is that oem? Was it any good?

Before Royal came out with the "brush stiffeners" in their current line of Metal Uprights-they offered an optional rollerbrush that had the beaterbars.From the picture they look like they are plastic-the WORST material to make beater bars-if the plastic bar hits something metal or hard-its nicked or cracked-then that nick or crack becomes a carpet destruction tool.If you must have the beaters-make them metal like the Hoovers.
