So, I know that for the pink line of Hoover's, there was two models of pink Constellation's, 65 and 67 Convertible, the floor polisher, and the Junior (US Model). Is there anything else that I'm missing?

What about the Pumpkin/Brown Hoover line? There was the
Dial-a-Matic, Constellation (?), Portable, Floor polisher (orange only?), and Convertible (orange only?). Is there anything else from the Pumpkin/Brown line that I'm missing?

Hopefully Someday I'll have a complete Pumpkin/Brown Hoover line, as well as the Pink/White line?!?!

Fred, that is a great display! I found a Pumpkin/Brown Portable at the Goodwill months ago, but it was missing most of the attachments, and the Hoover badge was dented. The whole thing looked like it was "abused". Thank you for the information and sharing that picture!

Nicholas, I really like the Celebrity, yours it a really nice example!

Thanks everyone, and Happy Holidays,
~Alex.

Pumkin Junior

Hello Folks,

I loved that colour scheme as a young boy in the 1960's... Mike ....did the junior at some point in its production run ever have an orange belt chamber cover or am I having one of my 'senior moment memory/info glitches' ?

Regards, Walter, Shropshire.

Differing tastes, this color scheme was my least favorite. Brown and orange... just seems to clash

The two greens on the British line in the 1960's, I forget the names, but they're gorgeous.

Pumpkin Junior,

Walter,

Yes, the 1346 was produced originally with a Pumpkin belt cover. 1967 models only I think as this quickly was changed to the deep seal greige, I have an early (Feb 1968 IIRC) 1346 with the deep seal greige panel, but it retains the 1334 bag collar!

I have outlined these on my own homage to Hoover, The Classic Hoover Emporium.

The pumpkin fronted 1346 is my personal holy grail of Hoover cleaners, along side a decent Convertible! (DAM to you US guya and gals).
I will keep looking, till hell freezes oiver if necessary! :D LOL

Hope this helps.

Happy hoovering,

Clark.

Here`s Si with is Junior Staircase Collection from Al`s gathering last year!!!

Mike and Clark

Hello and many thanks,

Ah so it was 1967 when my Grandmother was looking to supplement her 1334 (which was fitted with a genuine Hoover full cloth bag) and early Lux 65 with another small upright to keep upstairs to save her 'daily womans'' legs.

I managed to talk her out of considering a lux 150 ? type as we all thought it ugly and I liked the idea of using the hoover tools !

Sadly the new junior was never purchased as a result of her cleaning woman being revealed as my Grandfathers' secret booze runner.....she was sacked......NO CHARR....NO 1346 !!!

Re: Simons' line up; the chocolate/ cream dirtsearcher: was that the HOOVER, HOOVER and the navy blue 'EXCLUSIVE' model that I once had a 'CO-OP' version ?

It was a minter (rare ?) and I sold it....now was that a 'JUNIOR' or 'SENIOR' moment !!!!!!!!!!

Regards, Walter.

'Unique one'...

Would that be a certain North-Canton export of mine? ;)

I'll forgo the Blue Peter badge, could I just have Richard Bacon?

dammit those juniors are scarce around here.. I've not run across one yet... however by posting this rant the vacuum gods will bestow one upon me within the next few days. I'll round the aisle of a thrift shop and there it will be..

Worth a try anyways.

U1012.

Guy's,

Surely the unique one of the bunch, rare though the model 14 is, is the U1012 in dark brown and coffee colours presently residing in Dover?

LOL, I wish I had something as unique as this one. I do have a U1104 Turbo Junior which came from Germany. It is very simlar to the last of the standard U1104's from the UK, Rose white, but instead of Mink, it has Honey Beige accents (front cover, power switch, handle e.t.c.). I have not yet had the chance to run this little lady, and presently she is stored with the vast majority of my other juniors in a very well packed box in my parents loft.

Happy hoovering guys and gals.

Clark.
