found this model T4 at a thrift store for 3.00 now I have 3 of thease canisters. no tools with it. the hose is shot, eaven tho it was replaced years ago. I will just use the old ends and add a new pice of hose. works good. still needs a little cleaning and some service. still has the factory cord and plug with the W on it.

And you can't beat the price! I see what you mean about the hose, but the machine itself looks pretty nice. Congrats,
Jeff

Westinghouse find

What a great shape for a tank cleaner. I have never seen a used Westinghouse even after years of checking and we had a Westinghouse only store in our town for many years. They must have not sold many cleaners. I do remember the Westinghouse vacs in the window displays in the late 50's and early 60's. That was a great find.

You are correct, Chris. The site used to re-size overly large picture uploads to fit, or would send you message "file size too big". Since the server change it doesn't anymore and will readily accept huge raw pictures well in excess of 2 MB each.

Just because we can doesn't mean we should. LOL

Most people set their cameras at maximum resolution which in your case on the Photosmart E427 gives a wonderfully detailed picture measuring 2848 X 2136 pixels. And these days it's so simple to directly connect the camera - or the card - and upload the raw picture which can exceed 3MB unedited...
Also these days many are using widescreen computer monitors and flatscreen tvs to view their pictures.

In my case I use a 20" monitor set at 1280 X 1024.

Do you have a Photo Editing Program (that may have come with the camera?

My camera pumps out these huge pictures too and I still use Paint Shop Pro 6 to edit before posting. Ive 'discovered' that resizing the raw image to 1200 w X 900 h pixels fills the forum screen nicely without requiring the scroll bar along the bottom.

Alternatively, you could re-set your camera to a smaller resolution.

Resizing your above 2848 X 2136 picture has reduced it to 1200 X 900 and file size has reduced from 849 KB to 164 KB.

I know you'll get this all sorted out.

Dave

Photo Resizing

Most people have a photo editor without knowing it, or at least have one ready to install. It's Microsoft Photo Editor, which is part of Microsoft Office. Allows for easy resizing of photos, also converting non-JPEG formats to JPEG.

If you have Microsoft Office on your computer, look in the Start menu to see if Photo Editor is installed. If it is not, get out your Office CD and run Setup; you'll be given the option to install Office components that are not already on your computer.
