here are mine

I dont know why but I am very fond of them. The oldest, The tan with the blue bag is one of my very first cleaners. It was a gift from a friend of my moms at work almost 12 years ago. The utmost fave is the one witht he plaid bag I just adore it. I love plaid I would love to make designer vacs bags for them like a Louis and a Burberry lol.

Nice Eureka's Matthew!

I have the exact same blue/white Eureka third from the right. It was the first vac in my collection. I have it along with several others in storage. I will post more pics of my collection soon.

Stephen,

Those are some beautiful Eureka's. I especially like the chrome one with the ble bag and I adore the pattern on the pag of the one to the far right.

I also like you Eureka's also Matthew.

Very nice. I have a bit of a soft spot for Eurekas as well. I don't think they were as big a sellers in these parts as say Hoovers or Kenmores ever were. I found a rebranded "Beaumark" not that long ago which I still haven't cleaned up. That was the Hudson Bay store brand name. My favorite is my box top golden bag with the cord rewind.

I too, like Eurekas but I prefer the cannisters like the canned ham, the Golden Crown and the Princess. Does anyone know why these vacuums are so hard to come by today? Were they not good sellers? unreliable? expensive? They seem to be few and far between on Ebay, etc. whereas Lux's are a dime a dozen.

My thoughts

I think they are hard to find because the motors died in them easily if you did not keep the filter in place. I replaced the motor in this one.

I love vacuuming with it. It is so charming like a distinguished gentlemen lol. The plaid bagged vac that is. This was the first upright I ever completley dissasembled painted and restored.

WOW! That's a great paint job! I wish I could do that with a few of my vacuums. How were you able to get the right shade of paint and be able to paint the vacuum base to almost original condition?

well

I went to lowes and found the spray paint as close as possible. You can also try autozone they have so many different shades I kind of lucked out I guess.
