On the L shaped Lux nozzles, I find that when they've lost 1mm, a change out is worth it. Normally, the L shaped brushes start out at 9mm (millimeters) in length. |

On some power nozzles (not sure if the PN-1 is one of them) there is a plate on each end of the brush roll that can be rotated 180 degrees when the brush roll is worn and that will cause it to be lowered enough that you can use it for sometime - sort of like getting 2 brush rolls for the price of one. The method I use to tell if the brush roll is at the correct height is to turn the power nozzle over and then take an index card on its end so that it is touching both sides of the plate surrounding the brush roll. Then pull the card the length of the brush roll. If the bristles do not touch the card then it is time to be replaced (or turned over). Gary |
