It's unmistakably an American design! I love the performance; it's not light and it's not quiet, but it does a great job for 1300w. It really grooms the carpet. |

Looks strange seeing the Maytag name on it. How is it for noise btw. I'm thinking the other day when I was in WalMart they had some WT's and I recollect them being made in Mexico where yours says made in USA. I could be wrong though. |

They were sold in Arnotts / House Of Fraser department store in Dundee, around about the turn of the Century. That store closed, and now there are mickey mouse clothes shops in its place. |
