keep looking in Craigslist in your general area.....

I've seen them several times within, say, a 3 or 4 hour drive of me. Its rare that a good one will go for $50 though, usually they're a little more.

Also check all your thrift stores in your area, eventually one is likely to show up there. If it does you'll probably be able to get it for $50.

Good Luck !!!

thanks

I see them here but for rediculous prices. I do not want a brand new pristine model. Anything will do. thanks.

I'm sure that you'll find a brand new one for 5 bucks on CL... you seem to have such good luck with machines!

lol

I think I have wasted all my good luck lately. I hope to find one I have never had one I do not even know where to begin. I have a fairfax and I never use it. I do not like the power nozzle.

Hey! Sorry I can't help with the Rainbow right now, but I'll keep my eyes peeled. I was wondering which power nozzle your Fairfax has with it and if it's a one or two speed motor. Later, Trg

no problem

it has a little plastic one. And the fairfax is single speed.

one came up on CL.....

a Rainbow came up on Craigslist near me a couple of days ago. It was $40. Normally, I would have gone out to look at it but my wife is watching me real closely - I've been instructed no more vacuums or washers for a while.

Like, get real !!!

I am in the same boat I have cut back my purchases considerably. I am not allowed to buy anything lately. I was let go from my job a few months ago and my partner shortly there after due to our economy. I would like to try the rainbow for the anti allergen effect and see how that works out.
