I know that Orecks are NOT great but Im a Left Above knee Amputee and well Im kinda limited on what I can push around.I have been in screwed over by this guy on a Old Eureka 5071 ESP he said the Powerdrive works great but the Pinion gear is Striped and the gears on the Axle are shot also.I have a 1997ish Oreck Xl 9100C (3.2Amp) and got a Generic Johnson Motor for it.There was No schematics at all and the wires on both sides are Red&White with the black wire that goes to the brushes comes out between the Red&White wires which are glued to the stator. The Johnson Motor has two tabs on each side but I dont know what color goes in what order to the Stator Taps.I am Very picky on Vacuums I HATE bagless ones and will find me a Eureka 5071 power drive the works. The Oreck I like for quick lite work that dont kill me to push. I need a cookie Im depressed Im in my 30s and sound like Im living at Shady Pines HOME. Forgive my grammer I am gifted in math and science but not grammer. Thanks WES

I don't know much about Orecks, or Eurekas for that matter, except for the one Eureka I have which was produced in the early 1920's.
So..not much help there. Feel free to contact me, however, anytime you'd like to talk.

I figured it out.I work on so many D.C. Projects I stay in that frame of mind. This New Motor has twice as many commicating bars on the rotor than the old one.I have never used a Johnson motor before I know there used in Frigidare dishwashers.I hope that is not a bad sign for me.This old motor is a Lamb motor I think.

all I've heard about Lamb motors is that they are supposed to be good. Don't yet know much about the different brands of motors or DC motors - just some knowledge of AC motors and generators.
