I just bought an Electrolux super J today at my favorite flea market. It is in nice shape and sounds great. It doesn't have the original hose, the hose is from a later lux. The power nozzle is ok but the brush roll does not move and there is tons of hair wrapped around it. How many super J's were made?

I don't know...

Travis..... I'd dare say that it was a very popular machine, as it was the first with the larger, more powerful motor, that was used in many models to follow. I have owned several Super Js over the years, picking them up at flea markets, thrift stores, etc. I still see them around, point being that I don't think there is any shortage of them today.
Charlie Lester once again might be the person to ask about the numbers. His ID is "Charles Richard" on this site. He also has his own website with much information on Lux's at www.137.com...
Hope this helps.
