I have a Hoover Decade 80 U4301-030 that is just got yesterday in flawless condition, and I need to have the head lamp replaced, I can't seem to download any manuals from Hoover.com it simply says no model found, kinda weird, and i can't seem to find any info on the web either. I am not sure if replacement is the same procedure on the Decade as it is on the Convertible, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Oh yes i promise i will upload some pics, once i get the light replaced. Thanks all Lee

Dont quote me....

Hey Lee

Being im in the UK im not totally sure on US machines and am open to correction, but I believe the hood comes off the same as a Convertible(2 screws) and there are 2 push in 12V bulbs you need to replace ;).

There are two scerws that hold the hood on like a convertible and there are two push in bulbs, the same ones as a convertible

Bulbs...

...You should be able to find the bulbs easily at any auto supply store or hardware store, since they are 12 volts. That's where I got mine for the Decade 80 many years ago, and they are still glowing brightly. The top of the machine comes off easily by loosening a few screws on the bottom.
