Here's the British TV ad for Hoover's 'The One' upright.

Note the interesting filming technique used; the floor seems to glide through the room, carrying the furniture with it:

BUT!

This is not the first time this effect has been used; this striking visual technique was pioneered for the 1996 music video for 'Virtual Insanity' for English band Jamiroquai.

Can you work out how the illusion is created? Hint: It's filmed as it appears, it's not a CGI trick...

OOOO! I love Jamiroquai!! I like the music video better than the Hoover ad though....the ad seems kind of......well........lame in comparison!

Love the way the commercial music makes that vacuum seem so dreamy. You should super-impose the raucous noise it makes into the ad LOL
