Can anyone comment on the small rug nozzle option that was offered with the Heritage, Heritage II, and Legend machines?

I have one that a fellow collector (I think..) sent to me some time ago. However, the inside of it is painted black? Is this common or did someone paint it? It also appears that it could have been made this way. If so, what might have been the reason?

Negative..

Well Louis, your question got my curiousity aroused so I had to go check my Heritage, and the inside is not black. That is one Kirby I use frequently, I have a 4 row brush roll and converted the original bag and heavy emptor, to the later Heritage II bag and mini-emptor, and it performs flawlessly. I do think the smaller head cleans better, especially with this setup. I had my vac shop that I use frequently buff it out, put a new cord on it and it looks and performs like new. I have the wider head too but never use it.

Rick,

So you are saying that you took the orange bag and grey emptor off and put the HII bag and plastic emptor on?

Does anyone have one?

I would love to find a small head for my Heritage 84 Turbo.

I too have the small head 84 and mine isn't painted either. Louis, I have to agree with Rick on the emptor. If you don't want the extra weight then put the hII emptor on it. Remember if you do that the Heritage II bags are no longer made. They have switched to the Generation 3 bag as the bag for the heritage II bag. You can however still get the Heritage 1 bags. A little secret Kirby does not want you to know is that every bag from the G-3 to the Sentria will fit every model since the Hetitage II. Even the cloth hepa bags.

I meant the throw away bags will all fit each other. You can still get all of the outer bags.

Thanks Phillp!

I knew about those bags long ago and just used the MicronMagic bags anyway because they didn't leak like the cheapos did.
