Great booklet, but how in the world do you get it to put all of them on one post insead of multiple postings?

Very interesting.... It's great to see old manuals and advertising. They can tell us a lot about our old collectible machines. Thank you Charlie.

Doug...

CRL - This is fascinating; the info about greasing Hoover bearings especially. Could anyone recommend a particular kind of grease suitable for Hoover motor bearings?

You have to upload the files to a server somewhere, then for each photo you want to post, insert the following code. Note that it is slightly different from standard html code.

... where "yourserver.com" = the location of the files, and where "filename.jpg" = the name of each file you want to upload.

I've got my tube of bearing grease around here somewhere. I'll unearth it and let you know what it is exactly.

I received two books in this lot: "Re-New Sweeper Company" 1947 Parts and Repair Catalog of 68 pages, and "Vacuum Cleaner Service Manual and Parts List" of 43 pages.

These two soft-cover books contain many of the usual black-and-white line drawings of parts and accessories you see in sweeper supply parts catalogs -- but at more than a hundred pages combined, there's just way too much stuff there to start scanning. I thought the list of vacuum cleaners would be of great interest due to the large number of obscure brand names.

Attached is a photo of a tube of bearing grease suitable for vacuums. It is the correct density and designed for ball and roller bearings. I believe it was purchased from Hesco. Hope this helps.

This is indeed a wonderful posting, Charles. Quite a few oddball brands. I especially like the section on the Ohio Tuec. I'm surprised they were still available as late as 1932. Perhaps these were factory refurbs?
