Hi Everyone,

I'm Mike, a new member of Vacuumland.org, in order to pass along this information that I've recently been made aware of. [I'm an active member of AutomaticWasher.org]

I recently bought a Hoover washer/spinner. The sellers also have For Sale, six (6) Hoover Vacuums from the 50's and 60's. I'm providing the information exactly as it was given to me, and I will post pictures of all six.

Since I don't know a thing about vacuums, I've suggested to the owner that she sell her machines using a bidding process (used by a guy on AW.org a couple of weeks ago) which potentially would end at 6pm CDT next Saturday, September 13. I will post an update to this information, hopefully on Monday Sept 8.

If you are interested in purchasing these units, PLEASE contact the owner directly. Her name is Judy Robertson, and her email address is: jrobertson1130@comcast.net

The information, as Judy has given it to me is as follows:

Most are from the 50's, maybe early 60's/ no attachments.

6805 Burgundy Bag- Ever Clean in gold Hoover Model 300
6808 Grey Bag- The H Cleaner in red Hoover Model 541
6810 Beige Bag Hoover Model 115
6811 No Bag Hoover Model 541 Special
6812 Off white bag Hoover Model 29
6814 Hard shell broom

We also have a Constellation canister - no hoses

This is the same person I recently got my Hoover 918 from. She wrote to me:

---

My dad had a store in eastern Iowa and sold Hoovers. We found a few old models while cleaning out the store- let me know if you are interested, or go ahead and forward to anyone else you think might be. I am contacting several collectors and a few museums, if you have any other suggestions, please let me know.

---

I have to say, she is a very nice, very lovely person. I did tell her frankly that I felt the rest of the machines she was selling would be of negligible interest to collectors owing to their condition, but I guess she still wants to test the waters anyway.

I do hope she will get something for her trouble, since the main reason she is doing this is to get these machines into the hands of collectors.

So y'all "do the right thing" eh?!

Thank you very much Charles. As I said, I know nothing about Vacs, or their worth, so I thought this would be the way to get the word out. I agree, it is important to get these machines into the hands of the collectors.

kindness. I am impressed and amazed at this. I'm sure gracious hands will embrace these HOOVERS, as gracious hands are giving them.

I like that Handi-Vac, in spite of the color combo.
