Okay if you can't tell by now, I have a thing for canisters with a P/N.
My question tonight is,,, When did Eureka first have a P/N and what did it look like including color.
Also, What Celebrity was Hoover's first P/N and what does it look like? I'm thinking I have Hoover's first P/N?

Thank you.

Matbe I can help some...

Eureka's first p/n was 1972 or so, and looked pretty much like the one pictured on the "Ironsides" thread. Thats also the p/n that rainbow had for a while, and even Compact.

Hoover's first p/n was 1975 on the Celebrity II series. There were three models, S3057, S3059, and S3061.

The only thing I can add, is the fact that I believe that the very first Eureka powernozzle did not have a headlight. I believe that was added the following year. Again I could be wrong.

Hoover and Kenmore all had headlights on their powernozzles along with the (in) famous Lewyt Electronic. When did Electrolux finally put a headlight ont heir machine...with like the last all metal bodied canister the UltraLux. I seem to remember jeff parker having one he liked quite well way back and it had one of the lights....

Electrolux

Added the headlight to their p/n on the Ultralux LX model. Maybe that was 1992 or so?

Yeah I did have a really nice Ultralux LX back in the day, I bought it while in college from a Vac shop in Omaha. I sold it at some point.
Today I have one really REALLY nice Silverado, and a brown 1453 Special.

Silverado

I've had many Electroluxes from model 11 on up over the years. As with Jeff, I kept my Silverado as the favorite. Dunno' why, perhaps its the silver color that appeals. It's a nice one with upgraded power hose. Don't laugh but I use a "plastic" Electrolux Advantage as a daily driver, and I like it a lot. It's powerful and much lighter to drag around the house than the older metal tanks.

Well, as much as I am fond of my Silverado...

IT'S NO MIELE!

Since Michael bought me the Miele Champagne thats been my canister of choice. Nothing else comes close.

I don't know who owned my Silverado before me, but it did not see much use. It sounds like no other Lux I have had before!
