"Powerhead with a bag" due to its phisical size& the small motor inside it.

He's not too far off!

In the vintage vac forum, thread #411, photo #6, you see some upright's in DysonMan's vacuum pit. Look at the the black Whirlpool upright to the far left. Notice the size and shape of the nozzle head. It's identical to the old PowerMate nozzle that Kenmore produced in the late 60's early 70's.
