I posted this back in the VacWeb days - but, for fun, can anyone identify this very rare machine? (P.S. if you really know, hold off and let others try a little - smile).

I am not sure,

since I have never seen one of these -- but it looks like a Royal -- the long, rounded "nose cone" and the little foot-type sliders reminds me of the Royal

It's Birth

Maybe a 10mg video (a minute or so)of its birth might help. Click on the link below for the birthing movie.

Mark, the only thing you should change is that you should have eerie theremin music on the soundtrack instead of jazz!

Charles

I used this awful "smart music" before rendering. So, like, are you offering some Theremin music? I would be honored.

Music Changed

Charles, of course you are right. I have changed the music to this Robot Birthing Video as per your suggestion. The old version is gone and replaced (same link as below)

Yeah,

I will have to ask him about the purple placenta. Maybe it was an alien, if he has ever done something like that. But he has had some rare cases before!! In his department, he could have been there to deliver sextuplets!! (6 babies at once) That is VERY rare!!

New Music

NOW ya got it!! :)

Then, okay, a trivia question: Who can identify the film that this music is from? (Mark, not to worry about using copyrighted material - this MP3 is allllll over the Internet!)

Wasn't it...

"The Day the Earth Stood Still?" That was with Gort, the robot, right? Gort is a very mean robot/alien. How could he vaporize all of those innocent bystanders?

Yes Kyle, you're exactly right. That's the music you hear when the giant metallic robot comes lumbering down the gangplank of the flying saucer that landed on the lawn right in front of the Washington Monument! The score consisted of brass, organ, percussion and two theremins!!

The reason the robot started vaporizing people? Well, he had a good reason... go watch the film again! It IS an excellent, gripping film that has completely stood the test of time.
