I regret selling a mint condition Hoover Concept One that waslue and white without the Power Drive. It was only Two dollars at an auction and I let it go for $20 at a flea market, haven't been able to find another exactly like it since.

My Tradition

I regret trading it in on the UG. Not that I don't like the UG, I just should have kept the Tradition.

Since I've never sold a vacuum, but given many away to deserving homes, I have no regrets - just good Karma in the bank.

I regret trading in my Hoover Convertible 69 in on a Kirby Legend II at some stupid vacuum shop. This was before I was really into collection. At that time I never had more than four or five. lol
I found out later when I went back to get it that it had been melted down for the metal. however now thanks to a few great VCCC friends I was gifted a near MINT 69 last year for my birthday.
And yes I still have the Kirby too

To Rich--A Message from Electrolux-Dude

Hey, Rich--I've got an extra Brown Electrolux L with a cordwinder if you want it, I have several of those, I'd make you a good deal on it. It has been serviced, I put in new bearings and it seems to work fine. Would you want a hose and powerhead with it? I'll be out at my country home at Wayside this weekend and can look for attachments and a powerhead if you are interested in a Brown Electrolux L. I'll also take a look and see if I have any other decent blue model G's. I'll post some pictures of what I have.

I gave away a lime green Convertible and a blue Quick Vac that I still miss, although I have two identical Quick Vacs that are identical replacements. And gave away a Eureka canister and sold another one. Still miss them.

Moving Sales...

My Hoover Dimension 1000 and my Panasonic MC-9537. I'm very lucky to be getting another Dimension 1000 soon...but I would give my eyeteeth to get an MC-9537 again. The PN had what Panasonic called "Dual-Sweep" technology. It reversed direction on the pull stroke via a switch in the wand connection assembly. Wonderful to groom and get all the dirt out of any carpet! I've looked and looked...and managed to find an MC-9527 (no Dual Sweep)...but no luck with an MC-9537.

The one I wish the most never left is

my Mom's beautiful blue Hoover Elite II. :( It blew an belt when I was 5 and my parents couldn't figure out how to change it. That's when I dearly loved vacuums(like I still do)but didn't know a crap about how to even change a belt. It went to goodwill. I still vividly remember it. I would watch my mom vacuum all the time and sometimes get a vacuum from my toy vacuum collection and vacuum with her. That is when my love for Elites began.

Hoover UK model 262.

Hi all,

Years ago, before I started to collect seriously I had a near perfect model 262, which I now know to have been a pre WW2 model. It had the full size metal band around the motor hood, and its original bag, with no holes.

I must have been around 16 or 17 at the time, and did not full appreciate its worth. Although this is now about 16 or 17 years ago I still think letting it go for £10 on the local flea market was letting it go for nothing, even then.

Oh well, qué séra!

Happy hoovering one and all.

P.S. I wish I could have been at the Convention this year. I expected it to be something special and the picture you guys have uploaded prove that to be the case. Oh well, one day!
