I have been looking for a 70's GE upright for so long now! My grandma worked for GE for 40+ years and always had GE appliances (worker discount I imagine).

So why do I never see 60's/70's upright (the plastic hooded ones)for sale? Did people not buy many GE vacuums? I just don't see them ever.

We see a few of them around here. In fact I just picked one up about a month ago complete with the attachment kit in the original box. That makes the third one for me (although it is a duplicate of one I have but I didnt have the parts for it before)
