ok guys...I went to the local thrift shop and there is a mid 80s rainbow with powerhead. The hose does have some duct tape on it. The guy has a price tag of $250 for it. Now this is rediculous, however, I was wondering what a fair price to pay for this rainbow?? and How would I test it to know it works well?

Hi! If the on/off switch is on the back of the machine, it's a D3-C model, and will be difficult to get parts for. As for testing it, take the bowl off the unit and turn it on and back off. This will let you hear the berrings clearly. As for price, especially if it's the D-3C, 50-75$ would be fair. Later, Trg
