I remember that GE blue swivel top like it was yesterday! I loved that machine; I wish we had kept it. Amazing how expensive it was!! $89 was a lot of money in the mid Fifties.

Yes, $89 was a LOT of money, especially considering that the Electrolux model XXX was $69 at the SAME TIME in history.
