Hi all

I have not chimed in for a while but this seemed like a great opportunity. The Picture/Vacuum of the Day are a treat and often a nostalgic trip down 'Memory Lane'. I loved todays picture of the GE 'Swivel-Top' back from its early roots and appelation as "Reach-Easy". I doubt many people could clean an entire living room from one position as their ad suggests (with their only moderate-length hose), but what a wonderful machine and work-horse they were/are! (Aerodynes and some early Lux had 7-foot hoses!) Anyone that owns one of the first several generations can confirm they were built to last and/or be used as a very large projectile. They were from the 'hay-day' of the CANNISTER VACUUM (as opposed to the TANK (cylinder) and UPRIGHT vacuums, completing the three major food-groups). Are there any other big fans of these early GE's?
Rick
