Today I recieved some dial-a-matic belts in the mail. I installed a new belt on my DAM since the old belt was stretched. Is it normal for a vacuum belt to be a bit tight at first after you install it?...I am worried to use it because its tight. Will it stretch out in a few days and will it be more easy to turn the brushroll?...

New belts are always tight and sometimes near impossible to get on

ALWAYS tight

when you first put them on a vacuum. I had one heck of a time once trying to get a new belt on a friend's hoover elite 350, but it eventually went on.
