Seeing as I had nothing else to do on this sunny warm day I decided to take the handgrip switch apart and fix it and I did. Only took clumsy me about 10 minutes and now it works like it's supposed to. | ||

Do you know what year this is from? I have no idea. I'm hoping next time I go in they'll have the tool caddy and attachments which weren't there today.. at least the elderly woman working the register had no clue. | ||

Way to go, Pete!!!
It puzzles me why the trigger grip met with such disfavour. We're finding enough of these grips around that still work that it couldn't have been that badly engineered. Sure, it takes getting used to but I think it really indicates that most folks are used to holding the hose in a different position. Maybe? Or they squeezed the switch so hard it broke. All it takes is a finger's light pressure on the mircroswitch tab. Me, I just spent the past two days frolicking in the boat and starting a tan. Managed to get some vacuuming in, too, with the 12V mini carvac. LOL
