Greetings! I've lurked here for a long time and thought I'd post seeking some vacuum advice.

I recently acquired a Royal Powertank Model 4500. Rather dirty, but it cleaned up well (before and after pics below). However, I'm having trouble locating some parts for this machine (was it rare?)

Specifically, it is missing the cloth bag. Hesco doesn't have it available (part R-041140). It looks like the machine was run without one (paper bag only), so maybe it's not necessary aside from the gasket?

Also, in the old vacweb.com forums, it was suggested to use a Filter Queen secondary filter screen in the bottom of the bag chamber to allow air flow across the entire surface. Does anyone have a picture of one of these, so that I might construct a reasonable substitute?

Thanks.

- Bill H.

Take about a real spa treatment that vacuum turned out beautiful!! These are really good machines and have great suction. I am sure someone here will have suggestions where you can get a replacement bag. Thanks for sharing.

Bill, what a great find and awesome rehab. You did a great job. Hopefully Jeff or Jim here in Ohio will see your posting.
As they are both Electro Hygiene/Royal Fans and have connections. Maybe they can find you a connection for your part.
Welcome, you should join.

Congrats...

Great refurb. Morgan, our president, may also have some suggestions. He's a Royal die hard too.

And I do,

Club member Mike Rogers who works for the Henry Co. (Royal Dealership) may be able to order you a new cloth bag and or find a replacement that has been used.

The Royal Power Tanks are unbeatable in performance, air flow and durabilty. Simple in design yet very functional.

I am at work, but if you need the phone number for the Henry Company, you can google it on line and find the phone numbers to their various stores. I am sure anyone there can help.

You can also ask them about the filter screen, personally I don't beleive it is necessary, simply because it is all ready designed into the machine. I have the Royal Hepa filters in mine and have had no trouble at all.

Enjoy the Royal, you will find it to be one of your more effective and work horse cleaners.

Morgan
