I just opened a Home Hardware sales flyer and inside it has a new Connie on sale for $149......it is the white and grey model with the 12 ft stretch hose and hepa filter. Is this worth the price??

A new Connie

If you have a Fry's Big Box Electric Store in your area they were on sale for $99.95 this week.

HSN Connie Sale

Hey Brad, the connies are on sale on the HSN website, you'd probably need to check shipping for Canada. It's 14.95 for USA. They're on sale for 139.00 for the gray/white model, and 159.00 for the S/S model which is a really good price, plus you can have the payments divided up on your credit card. Might be worth looking into.

Rick

Pete, of course you should!! I have the SS model and love it. I do wish it had an electric power nozzle but all in all the air driven nozzle doesn't do to bad of a job.

seems like a great price!

Maybe I'll be able to get one of these when they are as vintage as the vintage Connie's are now! :o)

The new Connies...

I have never seen one of these, but from what I have heard and read, they are likely the best thing Hoover has sold for some time. It's just such a shame that they aren't advertising them (at least I haven't seen any ads for them). I hope the new Connie is not pulled from production based on poor sales resulting from a lack of advertising and resulting interest.

Come on Hoover, be PROUD of your products! MAKE SOME NOISE and get NOTICED! (And if it isn't too much trouble, please add a real power nozzle.)

I like the old Connies, so keep up the trend,
Dave

I have to agree Dave. If Hoover would have only did some ad work on the new Connie it would have really been a big hit!!

The JC Penney Catalog is the only place other than ebay that I have seen a new constellation. and I do believe JC Penney has had them for about 2 years now. Not even Sears or Wal Mart carries the new constellation

a new connie

I wish they had promoted the new Connie too. I love mine. It is very well made. I do not like the useless non-electric power brush and I wish they had used the Hoover style positive connect tools and I really don't like the exhaust blowing dust all over the rugs and floors. It is a beautiful machine. It makes me sick that it took Hoover so long to start making something you would be proud to own again. They seem a little like the Sunbeam company. They went downhill for many many years and still had their name on appliances. When they started selling the Constellation for $29.95 and their Convertibles for $49.95 it was very sad and that was many many years ago. Let's hope they start building some great products again!
