That is slick. I really like it. It looks like a top of the line cleaner for sure. Its also bagged which I think is a plus.

Anniversary 100 year Hoover

I had a hard time finding this Hoover in the store. I wanted a nice box which says it's the 100th Anniversary. I like the "chrome" on the front and the chrome rear wheels. It also has a real Hoover emblem and not just a decal on the front.
The dusting tools also have the Hoover emblem. The color is spectacular. Of course it no longer says "it beats as it sweeps as it cleans" and it's very loud and made in Mexico not North Canton and I don't think it will be still cleaning in 30 years but I just had to have one! I think I will get the extension hose and floor brush for the hardwood floors.
The instruction book even says Healthy Gain Investments Ltd on the front. Check it out in the store because the color is really beautiful. It makes me think of the old model 63.

Rob, what an awesome Hoover. I am looking at the box to see if the handle grip is a power drive or a reg. push, pull vac?
I am glad if it's not self propelled.
How is it to use...? Dose it navigate like a reg. Windtunnel?
It is truely a beautiful celebration machine. I really like
my windtunnel. I think windtunnel is the best upright of the New Generation Hoovers. I have used the new High Tech bag less, it is so strangly heavy in the middle of the machine.

Anniversary 100 years Hoover

Norm,
This is not a power drive. I have a Windtunnel powerdrive and it is just too heavy and it also broke after only a few uses.
This has the new loop handle grip. I used the machine all over the house yesterday and to my surprise the RED light for dirt only came on once by the back door. I guess the old Kirby has been keeping the carpets pretty clean. I bought the machine because of the looks and Hoover's 100th Anniversary. I agree with you that it seems to be one of the better newer Hoovers. I will have to say I was trying it beside my $38.00 Bissell Powerforce and the Bissell is much easier to push and it is much much quieter-go figure! The Hoover does have very strong suction and check out the size of the Heppa bag.I think it is a very good value for $139.95 if it holds up mechanically. The brushroll is a little too agressive for me but nothing like the Dyson. I wish Hover would make more beautiful cleaners like this one without all the advertising on the machine. Fred S. got me a Constellation and I think it was a beautiful example from Hoover too.

You won't believe what they named this one

They named it the convertible. Look it up on HSN. Dang it! Now when I Google "hoover convertible" I'll have to dodge all these new ones instead of finding any old ones.

This one does look very snappy though. I like the chrome on it. It looks kinda like the old V2 I used to have except for the fact it has only one brushroll instead of 2. My old V2 would clog and lose suction within 5 minutes of vacuuming.

Although I don't know if the one on HSN is an anniversary edition.

The Windtunnel canister cleaner in the photo...

...looks very "Miele-ish". The general shape, and the handgrip attachment clip look suspicious. Also the four swivel casters.

Here is an action shot in the living room. I have it set on the highist setting and you feel the rug vibrate from across the room. I am trying to capture the blue color

Anniversary 100 years Hoover

Just got back from a hunt to find the Convertible. No luck. I can't tell if the HSN model is the Anniversary Model. That Copper and Chrome is beautiful. Wasn't there an early Convertible that was about that color of Copper or was that a special Anniversary machine too? I get why they are calling it a Convertible if you can interexchange the chambers and use it bagless or with bags.
There are no more Blue Anniversary models in boxes today. When customers see them on display they are such a standout that they are selling as fast as they get them in the store is what a sales associate told me.

Anniversary Models

I must admit, they do look sharp. Yes, Hoover did make a gold convertible model 65 (with a matching gold vinyl bag) for the 50th anniversary of Hoover in 1958. What I would like to know is do any of these new cleaners have a logo on the machine marking Hoover's centennial? I know the anniversary Elite did for the 80th. I think these should. It is a noteworthy milestone, even if Canton, Ohio is a memory.

Anniversary 100 years Hoover

The only place that I see any markings are on the box which is what shoppers will see by the way they will market Hoovers.
It is clearly marked on the box the 100 years. The "blue" finish is a standout when you see them on display. I haven't seen the copper convertible yet.

Anniversary 100 years Hoover

I ordered the extension hose from Hoover and it was delivered today. It does allow me to clean an entire flight of stairs

EEK!

Rob-

I always told customers to put the machine at the bottom of the stairs, and work from the top stair, down...

I'd hate for that running machine to come tumbling down the stairs after you!

Nooo!

Never put a vacuum on the top of stairs I put my fantom on top once and it fell on me it hurt but I wasn't injured so I learned the hard way.
