Just put up a video of a recent acqusition of mine.

A 1994 Hoover Turbopower 3 Autosense 1000 Permabag.

THis model was the updated Hoover 1000/ TP2 Autosense 1000 with the extra length of stair cleaning hose,

Updated upholstery tool with the long bristles on it for improved stair grooming,

Sorry about the wheels squeaking - they have been oiled now,

Rob

Nice vac there boys!! bet you didnt find that one on a skip!!!

Did you stick the PermaBag in the dishwasher Rob?? how well did it clean!!! I love the little scent pad/ infuser next to the air exhaust, my favourite is a spray of Aramis 900 which smells like Heaven on a saturday night!!!

Cheers, Mike

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!

Mike - I was unsure about the Permabags washability until I read the Turbopower 2 brochure we nabbed which said it was washable.

Soon as I get chance Il pop in into the dishwasher - prob with no detergent and see what the glasses cycle does with it @ 45deg.

I actually have a NIB HOover Turbopower 2/3 Airfreshener which I have put in tis rightful place so now we are Hoovering with scent.

One of my personal fave scents on a hoover bag is a spray of Calvin Kleins Obsession. Ok so its donkeys old but in the winter its great when its time to settle in front of the fire with a good old whiskey nog.

Im not one to waste my Issey Miyake on it though lol.

Hoover Turbopower 3 exhaust grill

I've seen those on display in shops, wrongly assembled.

There is an indentation / sunken section with grooves, to hold the small rectangular tablet ("Spring Bouquet" was the only fragrance for this range). I have seen the electrostatic microfilter slotted into this section, instead of the airfreshener tablet. Someone at Cambuslang was probably ill-informed on correct assembly.

Turbopower 3 Wheels

With heavy, daily use, the thin rear wheels will eventually break down. They seem to be made from polypropylene, which sheds its layers.

Permabag

This can be removed, and paper bags installed instead (there should be two grey slots to hold the bottom corners of the bag collar, and a red plastic catch, to hold the top edge).

When "Which?" tested the Permabag model, it let through more dust than the paper bagged model.

Autosense

When used in this mode, stay clear of the Cathode Ray Tubed Televisions, when they're switched on. CRT TVs emit radio interference that confuses the microphone in the autosense assembly.
