Each summer I sell some vacuums on ebay and this year I was thinking about selling a few Orecks. I was wondering if anyone here had some they wanted to get rid of. I'm not expecting them to be perfect. They can have flawed cords, worn brush rolls, fan issues, broken handles, broken belts and burned out light bulbs, or in general need of restoration. They can also be fairly dirty, I can deal with that too. As long as they are not completely trashed, they could be of use to me.

Judging by the conversation in a the Oreck thread, it sounds like many of you don't care for them, and I'd be willing to take them off you hands if the price is right(under $20 + shipping, perhaps more for commercial or newer models).

Ok... Most.

I agree that they have their flaws but when used in certain areas, where light weight and good performance on both carpet and bare floors are required, and you don't pick up crazy stuff (like clothing) they should be fine.

Nobody? Someone must have one stashed in their junk pile somewhere!

Plastic Electrolux canisters are also welcomed, but no higher end models like 6500s or Guardians. Repair on those is a real pain.

Nope...not even one hiding down behind he furnace...that is where my non-Hoover bojacks live.

If I had a Singer "A-frame", it would live there too...that is another story!
