I bought a pair of Kirby's and the person I got them from just tossed both of the disassembled vacs in the shipping box to bang around. It's kinda sad. I went through the parts and put together a complete vac. These are the parts I have left. If anyone wants them they can have them. Just pay for shipping.

Hi Scott

Pleasure speaking with you
& thank you again for the speedy safe shipping of my Filter Queen

Your a very generous man!

I got a cord on it & its running
Works pretty good
It running on LO & the off/on pedal switch is not functioning.

Used the cord from a trashed vac I found
but its not that easy to figure the wiring out
unless you have another & can match it
so that's what I did.

I matched it to a model 33 though & wiring might be different as my other 31 has the pedal wires crossed.

They both work so I will have to try to match the 31 pedal wiring to the 31 unit I got from you. Maybe that will operate the switch.

Not sure if a wire is on wrong or switch is bad.
Was going to try to rewire a working top to the motor to test that but haven't had the time.

Might be easier to just switch the petal switch wires & see if the switch works but still need a hi lo switch
& replace the secondary screen & gasket I took off my other one so I can put that one back together. Oh & the exhaust cap handle...

Bad thing about parted vacuums is
the more parts you get the more parts you will need...

Sometimes its fun
& sometimes not

Scott is a great guy,
Someone help him out with his parts please!

No takers?

No one needs any of these parts? I would like to give these away if someone wants them.

I am interested in the polisher head and the two attachments. Email me your home# and I can call you to discuss the details.

I could have used the head for the vacuum a while back I've ran across two Classics and they both were missing the vacuum head, the parts pictured are Kirby Classic not Omega, except for maybe the miracle head, the front switch on a Classic is like the D50 and D80, The Omega uses the same switch as the Classic Three, The Classic and Omega look so much alike. You probablly already know this,,,Here's how you can always tell a Classic 1CR from an Omega 1CB,,,,the headlight hood.
A Classic 1CR has a headlight hood that has a split back, and also has no lense for the headlight.
The Omega and Classic 3 have the same exact solid back headlight hood, with a lense, and are almost virtually the same exact machine, with a few minor cosmetic changes.
The DS50, DS80, and Classic 1CR have the same speed selector switch,, it has 2 little buttons, one side is normal speed, the other high speed.
The Classic Omega, Classic 3 and Tradition have the same speed selector,,just one sided,,push down, normal speed, push down farther, high speed.

Those tricky Kirby engineers!

Hi Scott,

hygiene903's profile picture
I might be interested. Does the motor unit run? Looks like it's an almost complete unit if you assembled everything that's there. Let me know what shipping would be & we'll take it from there. Thanks,
Jeff

Jeff,

You're in luck. I was going to take all of it but I decided I only really need the Miracle Head and two attachments. I am sure that Scott will be glad to give you the rest.

Louis
