I saw this very well made and MASSIVE!!! vacuum cleaner at a tractor show in Indiana, built by American radiator Company of chicago IL. has cast iron parts & on a heavy duty cart,the suction system consists of a roots type pump(simular to the ones usaed on detroit Diesel engines & top fuel dragsters)
snny one on here have one?

be a nice machine for a collector of really rare vacuums,looks like the rubber tires are missing from the wheels

the inlet

its on the elbow comming out of the top of the canister,sort of like a Airway upright canister

was used in homes

like many old things they were enormous,& heavy.look at the first cell phones they were the size of a box of saltine crackers.heres a 55 hp engine it makes the semi tires that are carrying it look small!!!

seen the "secret life of machines" & one vacuum on there was as big as a full size van
